  • Fix for sync issues when viewing posts.
  • Fix for problems connecting to WordPress.org blogs using HTTP Auth.
  • Fix for crash during Autosave check after publish.
  • Fix for intermittent failures when uploading media.
  • Fix for crash when editing WordPress.org blog settings.
  • Improved HTML output for media uploads.
  • Improved handling of XML-RPC endpoints for WordPress.org blogs.
  • Improved UX when adding WordPress.org blogs.
  • Added in-app crash reporting system.
  • Added option to use HTML 4 tags when embedding video in a post.

We’ll follow this up with a post as soon as this version is live in the App Store. Thank you for your continued patience while we worked to make sure this release took care of several nasty bugs. You can rest assured that future releases will be much more stable and reliable.

As always, your feedback is appreciated here in the comments, in the forum, and on Twitter.

  1. You all deserve multiple gold stars for all of your continued work on making this app soooooooo great. I also have green and blue stars – if those are preferable.

    Thanks!

  2. Great news, do you have any plans to include some plugin pages to the mobile version. For instance I would like to be able to see my statpress stats on my phone using your app but I can’t at the moment.

Other than that great work so far!

    Thanks

    • That’s a great idea, Simon. We’ve tossed that concept around and are looking into our options for including something like that in the future.

  3. Hi guys,

Would you consider having an ability to access online drafts? A WP APP for just editing comments is not very useful for me. I want to dedicate my spare time working on my blog posts! :D

Thanks for all the great work!

  4. I would really appreciate to have mobile access to my statistics. That has been realized in the Android App months ago, I wonder why the iOS App does not provide that feature so far?

  5. This is great. Just got started on WordPress and I was exciting to try out the WP app, my new site is currently password protected… So all efforts were vain, and I thought I was just messing up something.

I’m looking forward to the update!

    Thanks guys!

    • We average around 4-5 days per release, but there aren’t any new features in this one with the exception of the Crash Reporter. Fix releases tend to go through a little more quickly.
